You sound like someone with a bunch of $350 plus ground on the books. Last time mother nature put the kibosh on the corn crop, we had some of the hardest hit areas of corn in the state...doesn't matter much what the price is when it all shrivels up.
Mark, that's true if you have no insurance, which isn't many of us anymore. In '12, the worst crop of my career, I received around $7.50 bushel for everyone I was short from my guarantee. Would have been better off with adjuster zeroing out. So yes, the price does matter. If my corn shrivels to nothing this year and price goes to $6, I'd cut a fat hog in the ass.
