You think we should offend the livestock industry? I don't.
They are our only two markets (other than exports). They both grind around 5 b. bushels of corn. Some of livestock already strongly dislike our ethanol stance. Why pit one versus another?
Don't you think the ethanol industry itself should be self promoting? Why should the burden fall on just corn?
Believe me, NCGA has done a tremendous job of ethanol promotion. We send waves of farmers to the hill to defend the RFS. I will go as far to say that without NCGA we would not have the 08 energy act.
