Not really sure of the alternatives for octane, but wouldn't the Middle East countries have their own refineries? They still need our ethanol for octane, as United Arabia emerites is one of our biggest ethanol buyers. People don't fully recognize the fact that ethanol is the worlds best and cheapest octane. Am I missing something with being able to create alternatives to ethanol from the refining of gasoline process?
