Ok, so the off rate word warning does appear. I follow how changing the threshold affects the output to the relay but I don't see why there would be a danger of "burning it out" with a constant input voltage.

Once upon a time way back before Ag Leader had an Injection module I played with the idea of using a second Ag Leader Liquid module as the input device to a Raven motor control for an injection system. I reasoned that since the Raven motor control could be run with a Raven 440 or the like that an Ag Leader Liquid module could be used ahead of the Raven motor control. Another Liquid module was used for the main product.

This actually worked sort of OK but I had to change the Threshold value to a very small number (.01 I think) so that the output from the Ag Leader Liquid module was strong enough to nudge the motor control. With a more normal Threshold value, the Ag Leader module would try to adjust the motor control but with no apparent result.

I had built a homemade box with some LEDs on it to monitor the flow and vacuum switches. It also had a pair of LEDs on the Inc/Dec lines so that I could "see" when the Ag Leader module was attempting to change the motor control. I noticed that these Inc/Dec LEDs were doing what they should when the injected rate was off target but the pump was not changing speed. By playing with the Threshold value I learned that a very small value increased the length of time that the Inc or Dec LED stayed ON. By making this time longer, the motor control did respond. Eventually I settled in on the .01 value. I used this for a while but quickly abandoned the whole project when Ag Leader came out with their own Injection module.
