Subject: RE: welding table height?

I like what I have at 42", but I am tall, and it makes it a lot easier on my back, however on the downside, heavy items, need to be forklifted, or cherrypicked which they should be anyway. Work SMARTER not harder.

I have plans to build a bigger one this summer, and had in my mind to make the legs from telescopic square tubing, and have pins for various heights. I currently have mine on wheels, which for me I would not be without, then my table, is made like a milling table, where it has slots every 4" the entire width of it. This allows me to use jigging clamps to hold items in place of almost any size. Downfall is, debris in the slots, but I just blow out with air, so its not the end of the world.

I have kicked around using a motorcycle lift too, Harbor Freight has them for like $ 425.00 for 1000 lb capacity,
