You'll need to find the same engine that came out of it. If its an n14 your good and 8k is OK for a good engine if you know its history and could possibly plug it into a scanner to confirm the mileage. If its not an n14 it will be much more of an issue. All of the plugs for the ecm will have to be addapted. Two of my guys swapped a 5ek cat for a 5ek cat i paid 6k for in about 10 hrs. They are really plug and play when the same motor is used. Plus cats Detroits and Cummins are all good motors from that era just put the same one in. 379 long hoods if thats what it is bring good money when they are good.
