Subject: RE: Labor Required to swap Engine?

East Prairie, MO

I have an 87' International Dump truck with big cam cummins and a 91' International with same motor. 87 blew up so I sacrificed the 91' since it was a fertilizer tender truck that had less value but I knew the engine was good. Drove them both to the shop that did the work. To my surprise it cost me about $8000 to get it done. They swapped anything off the newer truck that would work, even a fuel tank since the 87' had a leaky one. But mostly just engine related. It was quite a bit more than I imagined going in!
