We have single phase power and LP gas for corn drying at the home farm. Last year our drying cost was less than 1 cent/bushel for power and more than 10 cents/bushel for LP. Here, operating cost for gas (LP or NG) is much higher than operating cost for power (1 phase or 3 phase). For that reason, any upgrade we make for drying will not include upgrade for 3 phase power.
