WC Illinois | A very small suggestion but with our son (1st grade) when he is on a roll reading and gets to a word that he struggels with for more than a few seconds, rather than stopping the train of thought to have him "sound it out," we read the word for him to keep the flow/comprehension going. Someone suggested this at some point along the way and now we hardly help him with any words. Just one of many tools you may use to help him along. | |
