| Like some one else said "what if corn goes down to $2" I never sell any grain before harvest, bin it and sell it the following year. Was great the years when corn went to 7 bucks and was selling all of my old crop (made me look like a great marketer) but then the following years when corn went back down I was selling corn $1-$2 cheaper then I could of sold off the combine was't as fun. The way I look at it is u get a plan that works for you and what you have and stick to it. Looking back I got to sell my corn for a great price for one year and the guys who missed out because they forward contract hit it the next year when I missed it so we both got to sell $7 corn just in different years. | |
