NW Central Ohio | ..I just saw one this morning while spreading fertilizer. It was huge...and I don't like to kill them, but I'm not about to let more than two show up at once. If I see three...one is fixin' to meet his maker if I can get a shot at them. I like them to keep the deer population and groundhog population down. I used to shoot over 50 groundhogs a year here and had riverbank fields you couldn't grow soybean in because they would eat the first 100 foot of the field. They are hardly bothered now..and the only reason I can find is the coyote predation. I wouldn't like to try and raise sheep here without good guard dogs and a couple llamas....maybe a donkey too. I also don't walk around the woods here after dark without some kind of artillery in my pocket. With the size of that coyote this morning, two of them could seriously ruin your day. | |
