Subject: RE: Another coyote question

Floyd County, Iowa
No livestock these days. Just some cats and the two Lab/cross dogs. I understand that cats "taste like chicken" to coyotes, and our population of them dropped to half last summer. I shot one last fall that the dogs ran into behind the building site one morning. Don't like the holes in the field, though.
Pheasants have been pretty much non-existant since the winter of 09-10.
Man, that screechy/screamy/yowly thing they do makes the hair on your neck stand up.
