I bought this and am happy with it. Plugs into the back of router with Ethernet cable and any computer on the network can put files onto it. WD even has apps for iPad and iPhone, devices that are normally hard to connect to non-apple hardware.
edit: Oh yeah I should mention you can also access files from offsite through the internet if you set it up that way. Has saved me a trip back home to retrieve paperwork several times.
