w ontario | PRESIDENT WOODROW WILSON: "A great industrial Nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the Nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men... who necessarily, by very reasons of their own limitations, chill and check and destroy genuine economic freedom." "We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the world - no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men". (Just before he died, Wilson is reported to have stated to friends that he had been "deceived" and that "I have betrayed my Country". He referred to the Federal Reserve Act passed during his Presidency.)
