If they are mad at you for spreading in a considerate way, chances are they are gonna be mad at you for something else anyway. I can't stand the not in my backyard mentality. These people eat chicken nuggets and eggs don't they?
There are a couple sensitive areas I spread. Plan for trucks to come early in the morning on a weekday, get it spread, and they hardly know what went on by the time they get home from work.
