Been on this farm for 18 years and to the best of my knowledge, nothing has been stolen and there has been no break ins.  However, there have been many break ins in the vicinity. I generally have a pistol on me and a rifle in the pickup. Much easier to drape my shirt over the pistol when I go to town than it is to take it off and hide it in the pickup. Guess I'm kinda old fashioned in that anything I do, I want it to be legal. When you get right down to it, there are over 100 feral hogs, 5 coyotes, and numerous rattlesnakes that feel just like you do. Oops, correction, they don't feel anything anymore. I would much rather have and not need it, than need it and not have it.
