Steering by hand, your brain will want to drift off to one side. Always. Your brain will tell you all day long you are wrong, and will make you want to drift over a row.
You will get tired of watching the corn flopping sideways in front of you. Gets to be a long day. Very fatiguing.
Often easiest to only take 11 rows in your case, leave one empty. The empty one you can watch easier where the row actually was, as well as it will pick up the missed stalks that the outside row often misses.
Again, maybe the automation takes care of it for you and you won't have any issues?
