southern MN | Money is just a useless thing, really, if that is all you have.
It is a means for trading labor, material, and thought from one person or group to another, and for that it is useful.
But I've never wanted a pile of it.
I want to be rich.
And I am.
A pile of money isn't going to make me any richer.
I struggle to understand your values sometimes, not that I disagree or that it matters if I do or not. Just never quite understand what it is you value.
I think Garvo's friend is a very good businessmperson, assuming he is negotiating contracts that are up this year. I assumed from the beginning that Garvo's friends would not back out of an existing contract.
Really, that is the only way to conduct business. Work out a profit and loss and work with your partners to share in that as markets and inputs and world crisis' ebb and flo.
Or, one can just 'go for it' and that will work for a few years. Maybe. You will find your "1980s" sooner or latter, and then all this will make more sense, be more real.
Until then it will seem nothing beats 'just going for it.'
