True. In CA it is TDN. Usually short cut 3rd or 4th cutting here will test 57 or 58 TDN. Supreme is 56 or higher, so I shouldn't say that ash isn't a concern, but that is the type of hay I'm usually trying to move to a dairy. With test numbers like that, it is pure rocket fuel. The ash is a minor concern when you get hay that will test like that.
