Washington Co Ks
I read two articles the other day. One was very anti GMO and the other was pretty much in the middle. The anti one clamed that the rate of suicide is going up and that is the result of GMO's. The other one was quite lengthy and was talking about how we plant different crops and have a different rotation than in the past. The second one had an interesting statement in it. It said that there isn't as many oats planted as there once was. It than mentioned that much of the oats that was once planted was used as fuel for the horses. That seemed to be ok but it's not ok to use corn and soybeans to fuel tractors. I than remembered that my dad would say that when they farmed with horses that while they didn't have the expense of gas and diesel they planted half the farm to feed for the horses. I think that there are good parts and bad parts to whatever we do. There always has been and always will be.
