You guys are forgetting non GMO is half price of traited corn. Many guys can plant conventional corn on soy ground with no yield loss if corn rootworm is not a problem. Some can, others can not, depending on geography. His numbers look OK to me except maybe chemicals. And some do not have a market for non GMO crops. Obviously fertilizer will become an issue years down the road. My costs for corn this past season were 235 for P and 277 for M, paid in Nov, with cash and volume discounts totaling 24% and 20% respectively. Have had better yields with M. I'm also pretty sure you are getting M's same seed options in all their other companies. Why would they sell inferior seed under the other companies? I'll bet 62-98 or an identical twin is in every lineup of every M company and other companys also. With the cost of bringing new seed to the market I cannot see M running 10 different R & D for 10 different companys.
