So. IL | Last but not least, get it all down on paper and recorded. You may have a verbal agreement with the current company, then your lease gets sold and suddenly nobody knows anything about what the other guy said. Dont get distracted over dollar signs now and then pay for it lator! And make sure you get them to pay your legal fees and court costs if a dispute ever comes up. They will violate the contract and they have the attitude-don't like it, take us to court. Kinda hard to do that when they tear up 500 of crops, they won't pay, and a lawyer will cost more than its worth. And remember, when you give them access to your property, they can allow anyone they want to be on your property, at any time, and you can do nothing but watch. You are giving up your rights as a land owner, and that's worth a lot to me.
