If you lose 25% of your dirt in one smack, its your own fault for hangin it out so far. If that 25% is detrimental to your business sucess, sorry bout your luck.
Never said it would be detrimental to the business but it would sure piss you off though wouldn't it? How would you totally secure land so you don't lose it? Just curious because around here nobody goes past a 5 year lease not because I wouldn't it's because of the landlords in the area? I actually fit your own your dirt and not rent it category only rent 230 acres.

Hey I know a number of Farmers who lost their Land that they were Farming with their Father when their Father died and the Siblings took the land over and sold it for Land Development..

My ex GF helped her Father her whole life.. after her Father died her Brother took over the Farming operation.. She was supposed to get 10 acres to build a house on.. When her Mother was Ill her Brother got Power of Attorney and took all over and screwed both of his Siblings out of everything..

Now please tell me how you can protect your rented Land when I know people who got screwed out of their own Family owned Land... I know Farmers who got screwed of of renting Family Land by Operators like Stamp too!!!

I have not seen anything in Stamps Farming Practices that would allow him to pay almost double the going rate for the area.. except for borrowing more money than other Farmers do.
