Subject: Re: Pocket knives

Crawford County, Robinson, Illinois

My FIL carried a knife and a 4" crescent.  I would like to have a dollar for everytime I said, "Let me see your crescent."  His was not even chromed, but very handy, especially around livestock equipment.
My wife still treasures that wrench.  I tried to carry one for a while, somehow I could not get used to it being in my pocket, but not because I didn't want it.
When blue jeans had a pliers pocket I always carried one, could see the farmers sons by the battery acid holes in their plier pocket, even in grade school.  I never could get used to carrying a plier holster.  Also tried to get used to a big folding knife on my belt, I still wear one, but it is not yet comfortable.  I feel rather naked without a knife in my pocket, though.
