Started carrying one like this several years ago.

Goes with me almost everywhere. I used to carry a normal lockback knife, but it seemed like the "spare" blade was always dull.
I would dull the one end of the blade on something, and then turn it around. Next time, there was no sharp blade to turn to. This one holds 4 or 5 extra blades in the compartment on the side of the knife. I find I get more use out of the blades. Sometimes I used to trash the blade before the second end was dull, just so I was sure I had a spare that was sharp.

It's somewhat larger and heavier than a normal knife, but it doesn't really bother me. I usually have a bunch of keys in my pocket anyway, so I don't really notice the knife.

They also make one that uses the smaller blades.
