Quick calculation if on the large end of the spectrum, 10,000 seed per pound, 13.77 seed per square foot less germ and emergence, so maybe we will be OK!

13.77 seeds/sq ft is only ~600,000 seeds/acre or ~9 plants per linear foot if my math is right. Deduct say 10% for the germ rate and deduct a conservative 5% for seed wasted on the overlapping rows and the ends and now we're in the ball park of 500,000 seeds/acre and 7 plants/linear foot plus whatever tillering you get.

The better fields in our area all have a final stand of ~40 heads per linear ft on 7.5" rows here.
