Elkmont, AL
Really need to look at the seed size. I shoot for planting 1.5 million plants per acre, hoping I end up with 1.3. Variety I'm planting right now is 9400 seed per lb., which works out to be a hair over 150 lbs to the acre. I will be switching to a variety that will be around 12,000 seed which bumps it back down to around 120 lb. Lots of variation is wheat seed size. Buy a cheap postage scale at staples and get a couple of solo cups and calibrating drill is not to bad.
