I think the two main reasons is because guy's are scared of "what if" they can't get it done and the other reason is they don't want the hassle of doing it.  We have sidedressed through two of the wettest springs this area has ever had and it makes things a challenge but there is always a way to work through it if a guy keeps his eyes open towards a plan B or even C and D.
