Boone Co. Iowa
I think that there is always a place to upgrade in some fashion or other. We've got a semi, International Pro Eagle cab w/ sleeper. The engine and transmission are both in I think excellent shape, never given me a problem, but lack of vision when turning is eventually going to get myself, my father, or the hired man into an accident at the co-op, I'm sure of it. I hate to trade a solid piece of machinery, but I think it would be wise to trade. We upgraded sprayer 3 years ago, 750 gallon to 1150 gallon tank, planning on upgrading water truck in the next week or so so I can run at least 2 loads to the sprayer. Thinking about floater tires for the sprayer for liquid N in spring....I could use a another tractor w/ PTO and decent hydrolics.....

None of these upgrades are necessary, but all would be improvements. I'd say if you aren't thinking of growing, you are probably thinking of retiring or have a better hobby than farming! ;)
