My dad quit buying equipment several years before he sold the place to me. I've had to buy a bigger combine, planter, sprayer, fertilizer truck and a semi. I've been able to pay for most of it but have a few payments too. With land payments and equipment purchases, there ain't much left sometimes.
My wife says, "if you want to make a small fortune in farming, start with a large fortune". She's awesome....
