It's all a fraud to get your money. You didn't get _any_ virus protection. None.
They put the program on yout computer, and then you sent them $100 so they - for now - let your computer operate again. Their toolbar is collecting info on your computer & where you visit, and when they need money they will hit you up for more. They'll have a slightly different name, and hold you hostage again.
It's a fraud. You are paying off criminals.
