southern MN | That has become an old trick. They will keep 'infecting' your computer, and ask for more money.
They are crooks.
You could start your computer in 'safe' mode and get things back to normal. Each of these thieves works a little differently, different ways to get rid of them.

But it is clearly a scam, and you've been had.
Now they have your credit card number.....
Any time the computer starts asking you for a payment.....
IT IS A SCAM.
Don't do it.
You didn't get lifetime antivirus. You got had.
I'd fight the credit card payment, and I'd rather pay a computer place $150 to reset your computer rather than continuing to pay the crooks to let you use your computer? A highschool kid with internet access could likely also figure it out & get rid of it.
It's still there, in your computer, just waiting to take a nother $29 or $59 or whatever from you.
