| Boy ! I thought I was the only one that has always had a generally dissatisfying experience with software for farm book keeping. Really appreciate everyone's experience.
My experience is VERY similar it seems as most of the other guys on here. Quicken and QuickBooks is my choice because they are both excellent ledgers for keeping track of accounts, but for me, fail miserably at the end of the year on financial summaries. So.... at year's end I go back to my spreadsheet templates that I've used for years. If you have payroll or need to track re-imbursable expenses, QuickBooks seems a better fit, but my favorite is Quicken (that I don't even use anymore).
Seems like EVERY piece of farm software out there finds it necessary to re-train the way I do things. This makes it undesirable for me.
Good luck.
