Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Never really had a goal in mind until I was approaching “retirement “ years. Then my goal became to have enough land that the rent would pay for the taxes and keep both my wife and I in a nursing home if need be.
We’re close but between nursing home costs and real estate taxes, that amount of land needed is a moving target.
Since I have a son farming I don’t feel as much need to be debt free when I die as long as it’s a good business decision for him to assume the debt. |
When is enough enough??
