ottertail co mn | Lots of land talk. When will you be happy with what you have??
When I was in my thirties I wanted 1000-1500 acres of paid for land when I retired. In my forties I said I would be happy with 750-1000. Now that I am in my early 50’s I have 2 parcels of land that I would like to own totaling 140 more acres than I currently have. I have a 145 acres I would sell to buy the 140 if it becomes available. So when it’s all said and done my acreage will end up around 400-450.
I am done chasing for acres and next year I will only farm what I own. Owning the grocery store has changed my opinion of chasing my entire life.
Pretty happy with what I have, other than the amount of free time I have, and I am getting to have more of that also!!! | |
