Iowa | I've heard from several that bank's are more conservative now a days.
Both my father and I have borrowed money from farm credit.
While both of us have had good experiences (they happily loaned us the money/we happily paid it back)- We both agree it felt like if we had tried- they would be more than willing to "give us enough rope" so to speak.
In my area there are people paying cash for farms and others borrowing every penny leveraging ground they already have to get the deal done. Time will tell but I would guess there will be people (who may have recently bought land) that roll right through this low price period unscathed and others that struggle.
