Could some Holsteins slip past and make it into CAB? Possibly, but more than likely there is some other knock-off "Angus" program that isn't as stringent as the CAB.
These are the specs to get into the CAB program. https://www.certifiedangusbeef.com/brand/specs.php It's been awhile, but I've been in the plants and seen the process. They've always excluded dairy type. There are other reasons why the dairy steers are getting knocked so hard right now. |
