Gary I know you do not like Holsteins because it drives the price of fat colored cattle down by putting more meat in the supply chain but I would bet you a case of your favorite beverage that a steak from a hard fed high energy Holstein who was never fed any roughage in its life and a choice angus steak you could not tell the difference in a blind taste test. I for one think that we Holstein feeders need to petition the cme to allow hard fed Holsteins to be a deliverable steer against the board


I agree Burdick, I ran out of steaks in my freezer, but my holstein beef is not butchered yet. So the stepson wanted steak for supper so I decided to go to the local Grocery store and buy some of the certified Angus beef they had. After eating it I couldn't have told you it was any different then a holstein off my feedlot.
