Seems that the Holstein folks are starting to feel the color discrimination that the Herefords have suffered under? The CAB folks are getting tired of Holsteins getting a free ride on the 51% black/CAB designation? If I understand the podcast correctly, the reason for the Holstein price collapse is the fact the Certified Angus Beef program does not want Holstein being sold as Certified Angus Beef? And the packers said yes sir? Actual quality comparisons, like Herefords, have nothing to do with it.
