NW Kosciusko County | I have several fields of severely gooseneck corn (do to a windstorm in early July) to harvest this fall. As you can see from the pics it is goose necked over 15-30 inches. Going to be my first time harvesting corn this severely gooseneck. Running a JD 9770 combine and 612 corn head with row sense. Will row sense be my friend or will I want to keep it turned off? Any other tips and advice to best harvest this corn? TIA
Edit to add: I have the Headsight header height control on the corn head which keeps the head planted on the ground much better than the Deere header height control in my opinion. Hope I don't have to turn it off? Also figure have to run really slow, like 1-2 mph. Think that is slow enough?
