North Central Illinois | Get real. You think the USDA manipulates the markets with crop size? What do you think the private sector would do when they can actually profit from misinformation? Relying on private firms and especially producers to accurately assess crop size is laughable. One only need look at this forum some years to see how clueless or just dishonest producers are about what is growing in their fields. Careful what you wish for because if the USDA got out of the yield projections business someone who is a whole lot less accurate and honest is going to step in and really stick it to the farmer. | |
