North Central Illinois | Excellent point. Every year guys on here scream that we would need perfect weather everywhere in the country to hit USDA's projected yield. In fact we can have far less than perfect weather and still come close to their projections. If we had perfect planting conditions and perfect weather throughout the growing season we would have a 200+ average yield. As far as I know we have never had a perfect year across the whole country. Guys like to refer to 2004 but someone somewhere had a bad year in 2004 I will almost guarantee you. | |
