NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | We’ve never been there to see the aftermath but would like to some day.
I can remember our local bank had a jar of the ash on display in the lobby someone had brought back from the eruption.
Our next door neighbor in AZ lived not to far from Mount Helen when it erupted. He’s told me numerous stories of the actual event and all of the after effects, very interesting to say the least.
It’s hard to believe it’s been 41 years. | |
