| Stand sucks no matter what planter you used. However, individual hydraulic downforce allowed those with it to keep planting in no till while those without had to either stop or go full tillage to keep planting. Cold weather and lots of wind blown residue has caused all kinds of issues. The later planted corn could yield better because of better emergence or it may just burn up in the heat by pollinating at the wrong time. Who knows. I have a new planter and an old one. Pretty sure the ROI on the new one isn't going to come as quickly as many think. | |
