WC Mn/Dakotas | I have not done that test specifically, but have several years of 24/7 data from sentek sensors in good zone vs poor zone in the same field and same soil type a hundred yards apart. Difference is sodium and sol salts, mg, cec is major different. Infiltration is quite different as you watch each 4" sensor record moisture changes.
I would agree with Paul that this video sure looked heavily doctored, but you could see a difference in general structure. Whether it was doctored or not it does illustrate the basic point. Infiltration totally depends on structure. Poor structure attracts and accumulates much of what we see in the rrv. Sol salts, na, mg, ph based issues. That attracts more mudding it in which attracts more tillage and land rolling. Vicious cycle. | |
