I think the real world test is observation. Go out after an inch of rain and see what ground is glossy, what is not. What ground is ponding and what is not. Then go look after it has dried up, look who’s ground has gullies and soil in the ditch and who doesn’t. “Here”, the covercrops and tillage are the winners, the salt fertilizer on no-till are the losers.

 What about no-till with covers, where does that rank?



I don’t see much of that in our immediate area. What I do see seems to be working well. We have some strip till with covercrops in the area, almost exclusively cereal rye. That’s looking good also. New to the seen though.
