SW Sask | City of 240,000ish. Two Dodge dealers. Brother called last week, mostly in jest, about trading off a truck he bought about a year ago.
1) they offered him 45% of what he paid (ouch!). He checked the website later, and they had a similar truck on the lot with more km, and were asking more than he paid a year ago. Trying to make up for volume on margin? Dunno...
2) Not sure what their usual volume is, but he was told that they have 6 trucks on the lot, and have only been allotted 5 more until fall. (or maybe it was 5 on the lot and 6 coming).
Story of a story of a story, take it for what it's worth. Curious (nervous?) to see how this supply/demand imbalance sorts out....
