Keep in mind that there is 2 different redwings. The foreign made ones (I believe called the Irish setter) and the USA made ones. The foreign ones DO NOT LAST. Every pair I have had have been like yours. A year and they are falling apart. My latest pair are the USA ones and after a little under a year there is no issue. The USA ones can also be sent back to the factory to be re stitched or re soled.
