NCND | I’m getting ready to plant soybeans here in ND. We are in a severe drought and I don’t have a lot of hope for a great soybean crop. However, with prices the way they are, I want to have the potential there if somehow conditions change. I will be seeding with an air hoe drill on 10inch spacing. I usually shoot for 180,000. Am I just wasting money on seed in a dry year? I’m thinking of cutting back the rate to maybe 165,000. Any advice? Also, what about treating the seed? Fungicide, insecticide? It all adds up fast. | |
