What is your planting speed and what is your contact area measurement? Do you rotate the disks once the nut is tightened and measure contact area a few times to get an average contact area measurement?

Your picture in the thread really has me questioning whether you are at a true 1 inch of contact area. To much spread even with 5/8 inch wear off diameter if Kinze openers start at 15.25


When the bearing or housing is shot I bet the blade wiggles 2-3”. It’s impossible to tell contact area with shot bearings.
